Maintenance is the part of fire safety that quietly slips

Inspections get attention because they are frequent, but maintenance and servicing run on longer cycles, annual, six monthly, sometimes multi year, and those are the dates that slip. An extinguisher a year past its service date or an alarm panel with an outstanding fault is exactly what an auditor or insurer finds first.

    • Service due dates live in a contractor's diary, not yours.
    • Certificates arrive by email and get filed, if they get filed at all.
    • Nobody can say what a piece of equipment has cost to maintain over its life.
    • Faults found during inspections are not tracked through to repair.

    How we build it

We build fire maintenance software around your equipment and your service regimes. Every asset carries its own maintenance schedule, reminders fire before anything falls due, and every visit, certificate and cost is logged against the asset. It sits inside the same application as your inspections and registers, so maintenance, inspections and compliance share one record. See it running in our FireSafe demo at fire-demo.ceejay.com.

    • Recurring maintenance schedules per asset type, from monthly checks to annual servicing.
    • Automatic reminders before service dates, and escalation when they pass.
    • Contractor and service provider records, with visits logged against each asset.
    • Certificates, invoices and service reports attached to the asset's permanent history.

Servicing and inspections are different rhythms

A weekly alarm test and an annual extinguisher service are different kinds of work done by different people. The application models them separately: routine inspections your own team logs on the spot, and maintenance visits, often by external contractors, with their own schedules, documentation and sign off. Both roll up into the same compliance position on the dashboard.

The service history belongs to you, not the contractor

When maintenance records live with your servicing company, changing provider means losing your history. Keeping certificates, visits and costs in your own application means the record of every asset stays with you, whoever does the work, and a new contractor can be given access to exactly the assets they maintain.
